Interpretation
- Commentary
- The term ʾhdy has not been attested previously, but is presumably the plural of hdy, leader. Nevertheless, in this context, one would typically expect a dual *hdyn, hdn (?), given that only two names are listed. The name immediately after ʾhdy could be ʿ<>bd in which the letter after ʿ has been destroyed, perhaps because it wasn’t clear enough. Josef Bloomfield
