These appear to be the signatures of the two artists who painted the cows, a common inscriptional genre in Ancient North Arabian. The text associated with the cow on the left appears to have been originally two columns, but the name following what is presumably the preposition k- has been obliterated.
ġlb: This is an extremely common Arabian name, ġālib, meaning 'victor'.
ds¹mt: A variant of this name is attested only once in Safaitic, as ds¹m (CSNS 581). It derives from the root ds¹m meaning 'fat'. One cannot rule out that it is a description of the the cow it accompanies, but in almost all cases the text associated with the rock art contains personal names rather than descriptions of the animals. The reading ʿs¹m is also plausible, but the circle is rather large making its interpretation as a d preferable. ʿs¹m is attested some 10 times in Safaitic so far.
