Harahsheh 2022: bʾs¹ m ẓll as 'he grieved for his death'

Commentary

The author of this inscreption may be the same person as the author of ASWS 3, who has an identical genealogy. The author of ASWS 62, s²ḥtr son of ʾs¹ḫr son of s²ḥtr son of mrʾ son of ʿ, could be the father this inscreption' author, and the author of C 3379, ʾs¹ḫr son of s²ḥtr son of ʾs¹ḫr, could be the brother. Meanwhile, the authors of BES20 116, KRS 937, AbNAQ 1, Al-Namārah.H 78, ASWS 296, and Is.K 286 include genealogies that repeat the same cluster of names (mrʾ, s²ḥtr, ʾs¹ḫr), thus they might be relatives.

On the translation of  bʾs¹ m ẓll, see Al-Jallad 2025c.
