Macdonald (2018): wdd f ʿṯrt; ‘He loves ʿṯrt’.
- Commentary
-
The phonemic value of the barbell sign remains uncertain (Al-Jallad 2025b), but g is plausible as in Hismaic. The value of ṯ, however, is impossible. The exact sense constructoin wdd f-, and its constituent parts, is unclear. Macdonald (2018: 237) for a discussion on the various hypotheses.
