Hayajneh and Harahsheh 2025: The authors consider the name ʿhm to be read equally as ghm.
- Commentary
-
ʿhm: The reading ʿhm is assured based on the same genealogical sequence occuring in HNSD 45, where the ʿ is distinguished from g clearly.
ʾw: The ed. pr. considers a number of interpretations to explain this sequence, from a metathesis of ʾlt with an extra w to an incorrectly written h y. It is equally possible that we are dealing with a new vocative particle, ʾawā.
