ʿwn: The editio princeps understands this word as a toponym, a location of pasturing. However, static location is rarely indicated by the locative preposition b-; instead, the accusative is used in such circumstances. I would, therefore, suggest a connection with Classical Arabic ʿawīn, ʿawn 'an attendant', 'servant' (Lane, 2203c). This theme can be connected to those inscriptions of slaves and hired men pasturing the animals of others, cf. kry.
