The reading of this text is absolutely clear but the two verbs that appear in it, which are recurring in the corpus, have yet to be understood.
ḥt: This could be connected to the root ḥtt, meaning 'to scrape off, remove', a plausible verb of 'carving'.
ġys²: No such root is attested, but it possible that the ṯ and s² have been confused. This recalls the spelling of the god Yaġūṯ in Hasaitic as yġs² (SHI 22).
