- Translation
- By Ḫlʾl son of S²mtt son of S¹ʿdt and so he was miserable overshadowed (with grief) and he spent time at Nmrt
Interpretation
- Commentary
- On a rock split straight down the middle. NLB.C 1 is on the right half and 2 and 3 on the left half. There are two letters between ṯg and ʾ{y}s¹. The y of the latter has been changed to a ṯ by later additions.
- Provenance
- On the lower slopes of the left bank of the Wādī Shām, approximately 300 m north-west of the island on which the mausoleum stands. A narrow path (wider than a goat track) has been cleared along its eastern edge.
