Interpretation

Commentary
C, following Grimme (1929: 69), wrongly identified this text (Dussaud V 233 = C 3292.1), which comes from Ishbikkat al-Namārah, with Wetzstein 61; W.Tafel II, 1.d(a) (= C 1254) which comes from the southern Ruḥbah, not far from alʿUdaysīyah on the right bank of Wādī al-Shām. This despite the fact that Dussaud and Macler (1901: 90–91) say that Dussaud V 232 [=C 3292], 233 [now C 3292.1] and 234 [C 3293] are all on the same stone.
