Interpretation

Provenance
Littmann says "Buraq is a ruined town on the eastern slope of the Ḥawrān mountain [Jabal al-ʿArab] ...The safaitic inscription ... is written on a partly broken stone employed in the construction of an ancient wall, directly south of the southern tower on the south-east part of the town" (Littmann 1943: 283).
