- HaNS 273: translation of rṯt "he was ill, weak" (huwa marīḍ aw ḍaʿīf al-quwwah).
- Commentary
- The inscription is surrounded by a cartouche. The edition's interpretation of rṯt as a verb is unlikely as we would expect a conjunction before it. It is more likely that it is the name of a particular valley, perhaps connected to the root WRṮ "to inherit", the maṣdar of which might have been riṯat, similar to sinah "slumber" from the root WṢL and ṣifah "description, adjective" from the root WṢF.
