Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- HaNSB 334: Translation "and the flash-flood cut across" (wa ijtāza (qataʿa) as-sayl).
- Commentary
- The final character has one horizontal arm. Safaitic ns²ṭ could be connected with Arabic našaṭa meaning "to go from place to place", which when applied to water courses means "going forth from the main water course to right and left" (Lane 2797a, s.v. nāšiṭ).
