Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- Rawabdeh and Al-Husan (2018: 470), translation of the narrative: "...he was on the look out for Dmṣy with five hundred horses in the year of the war of ʿmm"
- Commentary
- The verb nẓr can mean 'to be on the look out' or 'to guard', with the benefactive preposition ʿl- (SafDict, 108b). On the revolt of Dmṣy in the Safaitic inscriptions, see Rawabdeh and Al-Husan 2018.
