Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus: TEXT Jaussen & Savignac followed by van den Branden: byg rather than b yʿ. TRANSLATION Jaussen & Savignac: 'By Ṣimm, Natan Bayiag'. DISCUSSION Winnett 1937: 28.
Commentary: The copy of JSTham 421 shows the final letter as a large oval, but Eskoubi's photograph shows that it is a small circle followed by the sign.

Associated Signs: (1). Sign at the beginning of the text, a large ṣ prongs upwards and no crossbar. (2) At the end of the text a long vertical line apparently joined at its foot to the base of the right leg of a Taymanitic b with an interior diagonal stroke rising from the foot of the left leg.
