Interpretation

Commentary

{ḃ}{n}t: The first two letters of the name are very faint on the stone but can be read on the enhanced negative photograph. The fourth name is Khl, as found in the same genealogy in Al-Namārah.H 6, C 1833, C 4096, Is.Mu 413, KRS 339, 441, 1344, LP 352, and especially SIJ 541. The n of the preceding bn is accidentally joined to the k and the lower half of the cross bar at the top of the k is more lightly carved than the rest of the letter. The g of the penultimate name is joined to the preceding letter, but this is presumably accidental.
