Interpretation

Commentary
{b}lht: There is a short line of damage on the stone in line with the open end of the b. This makes the letter look like a square g. {ḥ}rs¹: The ḥ has the stem one would usually associate with a ḏ. This seems to be a mistake. The stone bears seven inscriptions by brothers, all sons of ḥrs¹. BES20 123 is by an author called ḥrs¹, possibly the father of the seven brothers. The brothers' inscriptions are all scratched and the possible father's is hammered.
