BES20 159

Text Information

Siglum
BES20 159
Transliteration
l ʾr bn ʾs¹ {b}n nʿmn bn {k}n
Translation
By ʾr son of ʾs¹ {son of} Nʿmn son of {Kn}

Interpretation

Commentary
{b}n: The b is quite straight and partially covered by damage. Nevertheless, from the context it is almost certainly a b. {k}n: The first letter of the name seems to be a peculiar form of k. Three inscriptions with the genealogy ʾs¹ bn nʿmn bn kn have been previously found (KRS 883, 885, 1732). These seem to be by the father of the author of BES20 159.
