- Translation
- By ʾs¹ son of Qdm son of Mḥlm son of {Khl} and he found the inscription of Mty, for he went missing from the {cavalry} unit
Interpretation
- Provenance
- It appear from de Vogüé's map (1885) that al-ʿIlimmah lies to the west of the Wādī al-Gharz at a point where it rund more or less due north towards the Ruḥbah. Butler describes it as consisting of "seven round hills, collectively called al-ʿIlimmah" (Butler, Norris & Stoever 1930: 26) Unfortunately, we have been unable to identiy the site.
