- TRANSLATION ḫṭṭ, Corbett: "(he) carved". To take ḫṭṭ as a verb here is too vague in a context where the inscription is in effect a signature to the drawing. DISCUSSION Corbett (2010: 320) commented: "Although the characters of this inscription are clear, the script is unusual for Thamudic E, especially the stance and direction of the characters (the reverse direction of the two ṭs in ḫṭṭ, for example). The opening formula and its subject (zhr) are clear but the remaining letters cannot be understood from the available context. There is a drawing of an ibex below the inscription, as well as a more recent carving of a hunter and animal".
