Transliteration
l ḫlṣ bn nʿmn w qṣf ʿl- ḥbb ʾḏ ḏkr -h ḫbṯ ʾmr –h f {ḫ}{l}{ṣ} ʾmr ṣdq l- m qṣf
Translation
By Ḫlṣ son of Nʿmn and he was sad on account of a friend when he remembered him in the evil of his situation and then {he became safe} {ḫ}{l}{ṣ} ʾmr ṣdq for whoever is sad

Interpretation

Commentary
This is a very interesting inscription but which is unfortunately difficult to interpret. The partial translation given here is suggested very tentatively/ The particle ʾḏ signalling the time in the past when something happened (compare Arabic iḏ, Lane 38c) is very rare in Safaitic, but it is also found in AWS 8 and QZMJ 638
