By {Nʿrt} son of Ḫdmt son of Trml son of S¹ry son of S¹lm and he came from the Ḥawrān to water at Brkt the year the king came and O Lt and ʾṯʿ [grant] security and he looked out for Fate and he pastured this area of sand

Interpretation

Commentary
Unfortunately, the author does not tell us which king or where he came from or to. The phrase ḫrṣ mny has not been found before and nor has the word rmlt which we have translated on the basis of Arabic ramlah "a tract of sand" (Lane 1159).
