By ʿg son of {Hdm} son of S¹k and he pastured this region while returning to permanent water and so O Rḍy [grant] security but blind anyone who scratches out [the inscription]

Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- WH: ldm for hdm; s¹k for ʿk; kn{f} for knf; hyr for ṣyr.
- Commentary
- Although the first letter of the patronym has been damaged it is clear it as a h rather than a l as read by WH. It can also be seen that the initial letter of the third name is clearly a ʿ not a s¹. For knf compare Arabic kanf "neighbourhood, region, quarter, tract" (Groom 1983).
