Interpretation
- Commentary
- These are the same three names as at beginning of WH 1849 and was likely carved by the same man. The spelling of Safaitic whblh as ουαβαλλας demonstrates that the divine name lh, in Safaitic orthography, was vocalized as /allāh/, indicating that the initial vowel of the article was not represented graphically (Al-Jallad 2017: 168).
