Text Information
- Siglum
- WH 2471
- Transliteration
- h bʿls¹mn s¹lḥ l- ḫṭ mn- ṯm{y}----
- Translation
- O Bʿls¹mn [grant] arms to Ḫṭ against {Ṯmy}----
Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- WH: h bʿs¹mn blḥ {ʾ}ḫ "O Bʿls¹mn {ʾḫ} is weary"
- Commentary
- The inscription is thinly incised and begins immediately above the beginning of WH 2469. It is much longer than seen by WH and runs up to the third letter of WH 2472 and then down again where 2472 has been carved over it. Unfortunately, this has made it very difficult read.
- Provenance
- WH Cairn 34 and this inscription were rediscovered and photographed by the Badia Epigraphic Survey in 2018 and the co-ordinates given are exact.
