Interpretation
- Apparatus Criticus
- Jas: reads JaS 56.1 and 56.2 as separate texts JaS 56.1 l ḫḏmt bn ʾkm bn s²rb, and JaS 56.2 wrf bn tġnyt ḏ ʾl tm
- Commentary
- It seems most likely that JaS 56.2 should be read as a continuation of JaS 56.1 written in thinner letters. For rf compare Classical Arabic raffa which can mean "he guards, defends, takes care of" (Lane 1116b).
