Translation
By {S²hm} son of Grm son of Gnʾl and he returned to water from Ḥṣy the year the Jews crucified ʾbkr

Interpretation

Commentary
On the use of the singular nisbah adjective to signify a group, see Al-Jallad (2015: 75α). The inscription AbJ 1 is by the same author and uses the same event to date his inscription. The date s¹nt ṣlb h-yhdy ʾbkr could possibly be understood as "the year they crucified the Jew ʾbkr," but in this case we would expect the adjective to follow its head, not precede it.
