Interpretation
- Commentary
- On the use of the singular nisbah adjective to signify a group, see Al-Jallad (2015: 75α). The inscription AbJ 1 is by the same author and uses the same event to date his inscription. The date s¹nt ṣlb h-yhdy ʾbkr could possibly be understood as "the year they crucified the Jew ʾbkr," but in this case we would expect the adjective to follow its head, not precede it.
