Commentary

The meaning of wdd is unclear; see Tsafrir (1996) for a discussion of its occurrences and permutations. The name ʿgg is attested but rare. Yʿgb is possibly attested once in Safaitic (C 1102), but its reading is uncertain. Its reading here, however, is absolutely clear. The name ḍbrt is unattested in OCIANA (14/1/2025), but ḍbr is known in Safaitic.
