Interpretation
- Commentary
- The inscription is difficult to read in the photographs as it is slightly blurred. It seems that the second letter of the author’s name is a k, with a short diagonal line coming from the left of the letter. The penultimate letter of the inscription seems to be a ḏ, with a long vertical stem and two diagonal lines forming the fork. Nevertheless, the diagonal lines continue further than one would typically expect, making the letter appear like a ḫ with a central vertical line. Josef Bloomfield
