Interpretation
- Commentary
- The genealogy has previously been attested in C 4777. The structure of the curse at the end of the inscription is peculiar. No deities are invoked in a prayer. The term ḫḍʿ in this context seems to be a verbal noun, given the use of l- -h following it. If this is the case, then -h is a possessive pronoun, referring to ‘his debasement’. Perhaps ‘his’ refers to a deity, or the author himself. Josef Bloomfield
