Interpretation
- Commentary
- The inscription contains the first known use of the term qlʿt, which seems to refer to a fort, but could be the name of a site. The GPS coordinates show that the location is quite far from Qasr al-Burquʿ, so is unlikely to refer to that. The use of l before ʿkd is previously unattested. Josef Bloomfield
