Interpretation

Commentary
The meaning of h- tnf here is uncertain. The term has not previously been discovered. It may be that h- tnf is a place name. An alternative reading would be similar to the Classical Arabic tanūfah, a ‘desert destitute of vegetable produce and of water’ (Lane 319a). Josef Bloomfield
