Interpretation
- Commentary
- The ʿ of ʿl before ʾnʿm looks like a w but from context is almost certainly a ʿ. The diagonal line at the top of the next letter is very faint, making the ʾ look like a h. Following ʾnʿm it is difficult to read the rest of the inscription due to damage upon the stone. It seems likely that the end was formed of another person for whom the author was grieving.
