Interpretation

Commentary
The inscription lightly scratched and is covered in part by light abrasion. The first letter of the author's name looks like a ṣ as the bottom fork is joined into an angular loop. The reading here assumes the horizontal joining line is unrelated damage. The next two letters are close together and look like a w due to unrelated scratches around the letters. The final letter of the author's name is difficult to read due to damage across the middle of the letter, but seems to be a double-lines m, where one of the lines does not extend all the way to the bottom of the letter. The genealogy has been attested previously in AWS 372. After the final name, there seems to be a w or k. The inscription may continue on another face of the stone.  Josef Bloomfield
