This site was first reached by the BES24 team.
Archaeological details
The site centers around a ruined cairn at the top of a hill at a bend in the southern fork of Wādī al-Khuḍarī. It affords a clear view of the valley before it and is low enough to allow one to reach their herds quickly. A number of inscriptions express grieving for individuals, suggesting that the site was a burial contemporary with the Safaitic inscriptions, and that visitations to the cairn triggered feelings of remembrance for loved ones (Al-Jallad 2025c).
