Interpretation
- Commentary
- bʾs¹t is the plural of bʾs¹ "misfortune" (Al-Jallad & Jaworska 2019) and s¹nt as well as meaning "year" can also mean "drought, barrenness or intense drought" (Lane 1449). The claim to the drawing is rather oddly placed between the prayer for relief and the curse and suggests that the author was so affected by his misery that he had forgotten to mention it earlier.
