Interpretation

Apparatus Criticus

AAEK 19 reads the final letter as s¹, which is impossible, rather than k.

Commentary

The patronym in AAEK 20 is frk (also incorrectly read as frs¹ by AAEK), so it is possible AAEK could be read as "By the son of Frk". However, there are many personal names in the Ancient North Arabian and other inscriptions that start with bn and so it is more likely that the bn was part of the author's personal name.
