Interpretation

Commentary

The name ẓʿn is restored based on AGK 3 and AGK-Gr 1, as well as another text from the region in which the same author mentions the performance of military service, s¹rt; see Al-Jallad 2022c: 24. This suggests that ʾs²rq in the present context refers to a military expedition rather than a seasonal migration.
