Interpretation

Commentary
The beginning of the inscription is not visible clearly in the photograph as shade was not cast over the whole of the stone. The inscription on the right side of the stone (in sunlight), BES20 820, seems to be a separate inscription as there is no visible lām auctoris and it seems to run the opposite way. Josef Bloomfield
