Interpretation

Commentary
A modern Arabic inscription conceals a number of letters in the inscription. The names nẖb and hʿy seem unlikely, but are clear on the stone. The expression rʿy h- rʿyt is previously unattested. The term rʿyt here clearly differs from abstract noun rʿyt, pasturing (Al-Jallad and Jaworska 2019: 114), so probably refers to the pasture itself, similar to rʿy h- mgʿt (C 3235). Josef Bloomfield
