Interpretation

Commentary
The beginning of the inscription is scratched lightly along the part of the stone closest to the ground. Much of this beginning section cannot be read clearly in the inscription. The reading of m in the seeming name mfʾt is certain, but is probably a mistake by the author. The genealogy rfʾt bn ws²yt bn ḍf bn gnʾl is attested multiple times (see BES15 865; C 1993, 2094; KRS 159; SESP.U 8; WH 463). Following the name gnʾl, the author has written bn before writing ḏ- ʾl. This is clearly a mistake and has been ommitted in the reading.
