This inscription must have been carved subsequent to BES25_MG_1 23.2, as the final letter s¹ of the final word ʾnfs¹ had to be squeezed into the remaining space available. This is the primary funerary inscription of the deceased man Ẓʿn who is commemorated in a number of other inscriptions at the same site. Because the structure was dismantled to build a modern cairn, both the original meaning of the term nfs¹ and the specific installation referenced in related building inscriptions remain unknown.
