Interpretation
- Commentary
-
This text was not carved by a member of Ẓʿn's burial party but rather by a later passerby.
wgm: The supralinear insertion of the g glyph in wgm suggests a scribal correction.
ḥb: It is possible that the author omitted a final b. If restored, this would produce the common anonymous grieving formula, wgm ʿl-ḥbb 'he grieved for a beloved', rather than a specific person called ḥb.
