Interpretation
- Commentary
-
The inscription has been badly defaced. The god's name was obliterated as well as the request for help. The name of the author too received damage as well as the final ḥ of the verb rbḥ 'to make prosper'. The vandal may have misparsed the text as rb 'lord' and the following three letters as a pagan divine name, which motivated him to destroy them as well.
