Interpretation
- Commentary
The g in ngm could also potentially be a ʿ since there is no other use of either letter throughout the rest of the inscription to provide any relative certainty, but it is slightly more ovular tipping the scale towards reading it as a g. This is the first attestation of the name ṯrby on OCIANA. After the final word of the inscription, there appear to be multiple letters scratched out, making them unintelligible. Note that there appears to be an unexplained gap between the y in ṯrby and the following w. However, the continuation of the inscription along this gap remains the most plausible reading.
