Interpretation

Commentary

rġm: Because this term lacks a resumptive pronoun, is more likely a passive participle than a 3ms suffix conjugation. Typical of Safaitic, the participle, though standing in apposition to ẓʿn, a proper noun, does not agree with it in definiteness.

mny: the logical agent of rġm, is presumably accusative in -a as in the Classical Arabic tamyīz (accusative of specification).

ḏ- ʾl tm: This phrase is likewise an appositive; another Safaitic inscription from this site (unpub.) indicates that it refers to the dead man, Ẓʿn.
