Interpretation

Commentary
The inscription appears on a face of the stone partially affected by abrasion, along with BES20 1694-1695. Due to the state of preservation and the way in which the inscriptions are carved around each other, it is difficult to be certain which letters belong to which inscription. The paternal name in this inscription seems to belong to this inscription due to the direction of the d and ʿ, but the letters are directly above a ṣ of BES20 1695. Josef Bloomfield
